Accessible trails through bogland and mountain cols, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts of all fitness levels
The Slieve Bloom mountains offer some of the most rewarding easy walking in the midlands. These trails take you through genuine bogland pools, quiet mountain cols, and river sources — without requiring climbing skills or extreme fitness. Most routes work well for pensioners and those who want a proper walk without the intensity. You'll find clear paths, manageable distances, and plenty of spots to rest and take in the views.
